Job summary

EXL is seeking an Associate Data & Ops Engineer to support Azure-based cloud infrastructure.  The role requires hands-on Azure VM experience, basic Terraform and Linux familiarity, and strong willingness to learn in a 24x7 rotational support environment.

The position emphasizes monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of cloud deployments, with opportunities to grow in cloud engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Cloud fundamentals and infrastructure concepts.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure Cloud Services, including Virtual Machines (VMs).
• Knowledge of Blob Storage and other basic Azure services.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Understanding of Virtualization concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Linux (preferred).
• Strong learning ability with curiosity to debug issues and identify root causes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and deployments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Cloud resources and system performance.
• Handle deployments and configurations.
• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Work independently on business and technical problems to generate meaningful insights.
• Participate in 24×7 rotational shift support.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of Azure cloud services, virtual machines, and basic infrastructure automation, along with a strong willingness to learn, troubleshoot, and work in a 24×7 rotational support environment.

Must-Have Skills
