Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a motivated Content Acquisition & Ingestion Analyst in Chennai, India to support end-to-end content workflows from publisher deposit to product delivery. You will handle both automated (DAF) and manual acquisition, validate and ingest content, and work with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to resolve issues.

The role involves web, FTP, API, and XML metadata processing, with opportunities to leverage AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and quality of data delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in computer science, IT, or equivalent.
• 0–4 years in Content Acquisition, Ingestion, or Data Operations.
• Familiar with web, FTP, API or email-based content acquisition.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts for workflow efficiency.
• Basic understanding of XML, metadata, or content processing workflows.
• Experience with Regex, DTD/XSD schemas, XPath expressions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review publisher websites and content sources for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor automated acquisition processes and resolve ingestion issues.

About you

• Bachelor's in computer science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
• 0 to 4 years of experience in Content Acquisition, Content Ingestion, Data Operations, or related areas.
• Familiarity with web, FTP, API, or email-based content acquisition methods.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and willingness to leverage AI-powered tools for workflow efficiency and content operations.
• Basic understanding of XML, metadata, or content processing workflows.
• It will be good if you have 3 to 4 years of experience working with Regex, DTD/XSD schemas, XPath expressions and functions.

What will you be doing in this role

• Acquire and ingest content through Web, FTP, API and publisher platforms.
• Review publisher websites and content sources to ensure complete and accurate content acquisition.
• Monitor automated acquisition (DAF) processes and resolve content ingestion issues.
• Validate content against source data and perform quality checks.
• Support publisher onboarding and content delivery activities & collaborate with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to resolve content-related issues.

About the team

• The ingestion team participates in the acquisition, preparation and delivery of content and information for creating products and product functionality in all publication media (print or electronic).
• Acquires content from providers and may assist in implementing new acquisition solutions.
• Delivers high-quality data and participates in the correction of errors.

Hours of work

9.00 AM to 6.00 PM IST (including 1 hr break)
