Job summary

DHL Supply Chain India is seeking an Associate Consultant Solutions Design to translate customer needs into cost-effective logistics solutions. Based in Bengaluru, you will collaborate with BD, Transport, and Operations to design, model, and present proposals.

You will analyze data, develop transport concepts across road, rail and air, and manage projects from initiation to implementation. The role requires 3 to 8 years in logistics operations and an engineering background.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics operations management.
• Experience in transport design and cost optimization.
• Knowledge of warehousing and multimodal transport.
• Ability to analyze operational data.
• Strong client-facing communication.
• Experience with project management.
• Masters or engineering background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and internal BD teams to understand supply chain requirements and design suitable logistics solutions.
• Collect, validate, and analyze operational data to support solution modeling and evaluation.
• Develop, model, and select optimal transport and logistics operating solutions using appropriate software tools.
• Prepare solution documents, present proposals to customers, and secure buy-in from Transport, Operations, and BD teams.
• Manage assigned consultancy or solution design projects while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to knowledge management by updating documents, sharing best practices, and supporting methodology development.
• Maintain a database of vendors, assets, operators, MHE, costs, and other essential information for solution development.
• Support operational teams during solution implementation to ensure smooth transition and alignment with the designed model.
• Ensure all proposed solutions and implementation plans comply with company standards, customer expectations, and operational feasibility.
• Act as an internal point of contact for accessing logistics and transport solutions expertise across teams.
• Prepare and submit required reports, analyses, and updates to support development team meetings and decisionmaking.

Reporting To: Head SD-Transport

Job Scope: To analyze multi facet information and design cost-effective, operationally-feasible solution to meet customer requirements. Support operation in re-engineering of current process / setup to sustain cost competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience:

Qualification:

• Degree in relevant discipline (engineering degree preferred)
• Masters in relevant discipline

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of warehousing, transportation operations (road, rail, air), and broader supply chain concepts.
• Proficiency in data analysis, process flow diagrams, time & motion studies, and advanced computer tools.
• Strong customer focus with commercial awareness and the ability to understand and address customer needs effectively.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively as a reliable team player.
• Strong decisionmaking, planning, and organizing abilities with sound judgment and efficient work methods.
