Job summary

Northern Trust in Bangalore is seeking an experienced QA tester/Business Analyst to join the Transfer Agency BPA team in India. You will contribute to testing, analysis and delivery of InvestOne and its ancillary applications within Fund Accounting.

You will review specifications, design test strategies, execute test cases, and collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve defects on Multifonds and Transfer Agency platforms. 4–6 years in TA testing/BA is preferred, ISTQB/BA certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role for Fund accounting/applications.
• Experience in project management and QA methodology
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors/defects
• Working knowledge of Fund accounting and testing guidelines
• Excellent communication skills and Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
• 4–6 years and minimum 4 years of Business Analyst/ Testing experience in Transfer Agency department
• ISTQB certification and BA certification would be preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide support for functional and technical queries, ensuring superior client service to the business users.
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and review results for Multifonds and other Transfer Agency Applications and troubleshoot defects
• Interact and liaise with IT and external vendors to resolve issues/defects in a timely fashion
• Consistently demonstrates expertise in high profile projects and system upgrades, testing for large and small projects/changes, system changes and upgrades
• Collaborates, elicit, analyse, outline and develop requirements for dockets and small changes coordinating with business and technology teams.
• Provide analysis and takes ownership throughout the lifecycle of the project from scoping, high level business requirements, detailed business requirements and implementation as required.
• Utilize available subject matter expertise to perform functional reviews of transformational initiatives and on-going BAU change agendas.
• Serve as a Change Advocate; establish trust within the corresponding business teams; gain enthusiasm within the teams.
• Work closely with regional functional managers in various processes / projects to ensure communication and smooth implementation.

Role Description

There is an opportunity for an “experienced and knowledgeable” applicant to join the Transfer Agency BPA team in India. The prime responsibility of BPA team is to deal with business support, system upgrades and development, small change and major capital projects. This role involves development, support and testing of the InvestOne and all its ancillary applications used within Fund Accounting business unit.
