Job summary

Sattva is seeking a Sustainability and Business Advisory specialist with 3-5 years of experience to drive ESG integration, ratings and disclosure work for diverse clients in India and beyond. You will analyse ESG data, develop strategic recommendations, and contribute to ESG methodologies and tools while delivering high-quality work.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure timely deliverables, and support client engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, ESG integration, ESG ratings, or ESG advisory.
• Proficiency in ESG integration, ESG ratings (EcoVadis) and assessments.
• Experience with BRSR or sustainability reporting is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to deliverables, timelines and quality.
• Ability to analyse ESG data and develop strategic recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with ESG standards (GRI, ISSB, SASB, CSRD, TCFD) and their application.

About Sustainability and Business Advisory

Our Sustainability and Business Advisory unit partners with Corporates and Funders to design and implement strategic interventions that support their sustainability goals. We craft focused strategies and forward-looking action plans, grounded in rigorous research and data-driven insights, to enable a meaningful transition towards net zero.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, with strong exposure to ESG integration, ESG ratings and assessments, and sustainability strategy. The role requires a consulting mindset with the ability to analyse ESG data, generate actionable insights, support strategic sustainability initiatives, and contribute to sustainability disclosures where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support ESG integration and sustainability strategy engagements across diverse client projects.
• Conduct ESG ratings, assessments, benchmarking, and gap analyses to help clients strengthen their ESG performance.
• Gather, validate, and analyze data from internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Maintain robust processes for data accuracy, documentation, and reporting integrity.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and project operations.
• Facilitate smooth coordination across teams to meet reporting deadlines.
• Stay informed about evolving trends and best practices in the sustainability domain.
• Support ESG benchmarking, materiality assessments, and gap analyses to identify opportunities for ESG integration and performance improvement.
• Contribute to the development of ESG methodologies, frameworks, and advisory tools for client engagements.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Finance, or related fields.
• 3-5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, ESG integration, ESG ratings, corporate sustainability, or ESG advisory.
• Bring proven proficiency in ESG integration, ESG ratings (including EcoVadis) and assessments, materiality assessments, and sustainability strategy. Experience with BRSR or sustainability reporting is an added advantage. Experience supporting EcoVadis assessments and score improvement initiatives is highly preferred.
• Strong orientation toward quality of deliverables, timelines, and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse ESG data, generate strategic insights, and develop recommendations for clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of ESG frameworks and standards such as BRSR, GRI, ISSB, SASB, CSRD, and TCFD, with an understanding of their application in ESG strategy and advisory engagements.
