Qualifications

• LL.B., B.A. LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognised institution.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in commercial litigation, arbitration and/or IBC.
• Experience with a reputed law firm or disputes practice is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Insolvency laws, Arbitration Act, Companies Act and related statutes.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review petitions, applications, pleadings, written submissions and other litigation documents.
• Handle matters under the IBC, including CIRP, creditor proceedings and liquidation.
• Conduct legal research and develop case notes, arguments and hearing briefs.
• Appear before NCLT, NCLAT, High Courts, District/Commercial Courts and tribunals.
• Assist in domestic and institutional arbitration matters and due process filings.
• Coordinate with clients, partners and senior professionals and manage matter records.

MetalegalAdvocates is seeking a capable and driven Associate – Commercial Disputes& IBC to support and manage commercial litigation, arbitration andinsolvency matters. The role will involve drafting, legal research, court andtribunal appearances, matter management and client coordination, with exposureto complex disputes and insolvency proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Draftand review petitions, applications, pleadings, written submissions,rejoinders, legal notices, case briefs and other litigation documents .
• Handlematters under the IBC , including CIRP, creditor proceedings,liquidation and related applications.
• Conductlegal research and develop case notes, arguments, chronologies and hearingbriefs.
• Appearbefore NCLT, NCLAT, High Courts, District/Commercial Courts andarbitral tribunals , independently or alongside senior professionals.
• Assistin domestic and institutional arbitration matters, including pleadings,evidence and hearing preparation.
• AssistFinancial Creditors, Operational Creditors, Corporate Debtors, ResolutionProfessionals and other stakeholders in relevant matters.
• Managefiling, e-filing, cause-list tracking, hearing schedules and day-to-daymatter requirements.
• Assistwith review of Resolution Plans and insolvency-related documentation .
• Maintainaccurate matter records and use legal research and technology-enabledtools effectively.
• Coordinatewith clients, Partners, Senior Associates, Senior Counsel and externalprofessionals as required.
