Role Details

Department: Finance (Off-role)

Role Summary: Providing adequate support to the Banking and Treasury unit with respect to receipts and pay-outs.

Key Focus areas

• Providing the necessary inputs/ledgers/ statements for preparation of Bank Reconciliation statement.
• Tracking the fund available, raising requirement for funds as needed and providing adequate funds for policyholder payments.
• Online Money Payment and refunds after appropriate checks and accounting
• Providing accruals of the various expenses pertaining to banking and treasury unit
• Prepare and close open items of Bank Reconciliation statement.
• Check and deduct adequate TDS amount with other necessary workings before processing a policy payment.
• Co-ordinate with authorizers for authorization of payment batches
• Co-ordinate with vendors, banks and branches for timely deposition and clearance of cheque and cash transactions.
• Maintain MIS of payment processed throughout the day and send to user departments.
• Response to other departments queries related to payment and receipt transaction from customers.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Postgraduate in commerce with 2-4 years experience in managing banking and treasury operations in insurance industry, life or general accounts payable areas. We are open to look at freshers if the candidate has good academic record.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to adhere & deliver in timelines
