Job summary

United Airlines India Knowledge Center is seeking an Associate Analyst – Global Procurement to drive data-driven insights across sourcing, contracting and systems support. You will create reports, dashboards and automation to enable procurement enablement and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with Power BI and SQL, and familiarity with Generative AI concepts. Strong communication and stakeholder management will be essential.

The primary role of an Associate Analyst – Global Procurement will be to support procurement enablement teams by driving strategic and analytical projects. This position will work across different procurement division such as sourcing, contracting, systems support, buying to provide meaningful data-driven insights and automation / efficiencies across processes. This role will require strong analytical skills, multi-tasking, cross-functional collaboration and internal / external stakeholder relationship building.

Job Responsibilities

• Create insightful reports, dashboards and other data products for key procurement areas and categories to enable data-driven decision making
• Support process improvement initiatives such as creating current and future- state process documents and owning automation efforts to increase efficiencies across groups
• Gather, organize and analyze data through various internal and external sources
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis and create presentations / reports for stakeholders and leaders, as needed
• Build relevant skills and capabilities, such as best-in-class analytics methodologies, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
• Partner with Digital Technology / Advanced Analytics teams to drive complex initiatives
• Utilize AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) to enhance daily work efficiency

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related experience
• Business or quantitative field such as computer science, engineering, economics, statistics, math
• 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
• Strong problem-solving, communication and people skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft suite, visualization tools such as PowerBI / Spotfire and SQL data querying
• Superior attention to accuracy and detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and prompt writing.
• Exposure to AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and NotebookLM

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with writing complex queries in SQL / Python / Spark and other similar languages
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Foundry
• Familiarity with advanced Microsoft Excel techniques
• Familiarity with airline operations, or procurement functions
• Proven comfort working with large/complex data sets
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across teams
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools in projects, internships, or work environments
• Knowledge of automation platforms such as Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Zapier, or n8n
