Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Bengaluru, India, seeks a junior cybersecurity professional to support the 24x7 Cyber Security Operations Center. You will monitor security events, perform initial triage, assist incident response, and document actions in tickets for auditability.

You will develop Power BI dashboards, analyze logs with Excel/SQL datasets, and translate security data into clear interactive reports for global teams.

Qualifications

Job description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

India Cybersecurity Operation Center will assist in 24x7 Cyber Security Intrusion Monitoring and Event/Incident Response. Working with multiple IT Operations teams and members of the Information Security office, they will perform day-to-day security functions and investigations including more advanced analysis of threat intelligence and the security posture of systems. Manages and oversees systems to protect data from unauthorized access. Creates and implements policies and procedures for identifying, recording, and addressing security violations. Evaluates security systems and applications and suggests enhancements. Additional duties include gathering metrics and key performance indicators (KPI's) and other security related tasks.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SOC Monitoring & Incident Response: Support a global 24x7 Cybersecurity Operations Center by performing real-time security alert monitoring, initial triage, investigation, and ticket management. Escalate actionable incidents and provide support to Incident Response activities as required.

Power BI & Data Analytics: Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, data visualization, Power Query, and basic data transformation. Ability to work with Excel, CSV, SQL, and other structured datasets and convert SOC/security data into meaningful interactive dashboards and reports.

Security Analysis: Analyze and correlate security events, logs, alerts, vulnerabilities, and threat indicators. Demonstrate basic knowledge of common cyber threats, including malware, phishing, credential attacks, vulnerabilities, and common attack techniques.

Operations & Communication: Follow established SOC processes, playbooks, SLAs, and escalation procedures while maintaining accurate investigation and ticket documentation. Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global 24x7 shift-based environment.

EDUCATION:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

0-3 years of work experience in cybersecurity or IT administration roles. Programming and scripting background will be preferred. Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to contribute to the development and delivery of documents such as incident reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong documentation and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to work effectively with global teams across different time zones. This role requires a 5-day workweek with 2 days off. Aligns with Power BI workstream within Security Operations Team. Shift Timing: Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Eligible for shift allowance for night shift coverage.
