Job summary

Optum India is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and scale the ContractHub AI platform. You will implement AI/ML capabilities, integrate with enterprise systems, and automate workflows across contract creation, review, and compliance.

You will collaborate with legal, business, and product teams to deliver robust, secure solutions and maintain high engineering standards. Strong backend skills and cloud experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development with strong data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies (Java, Python) and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP preferred).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, especially NLP, document processing, or generative AI.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, data privacy, and enterprise security standards.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proven communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, business, product) to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and high availability

• Contribute to code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices to maintain high engineering standards
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and AI-driven solutions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development, with solid fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Hands-on experience with backend technologies (e.g., Java, Python, or similar) and RESTful APIs
• Experience working with enterprise integrations, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP preferred)
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, especially NLP, document processing, or generative AI use cases
• Understanding of secure coding practices, data privacy, and enterprise security standards
• Demonstrated solid problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Proven excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams (business, legal, product)

Preferred Qualification

• Familiarity with workflow automation tools and data processing pipelines
