Job summary

Optum India is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design and implement scalable solutions across Java/Spring, Node.js, React, and Python ML frameworks. You will work on GenAI, LLMs, and RAG architectures while collaborating with product and development teams to deliver features on time.

The role requires 3+ years in AI/ML engineering, hands-on experience with Snowflake and Azure services, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT/Math/Statistics/Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of overall experience in AI/ML engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on experience on Java, Spring Boot, Camunda, Node.js, Next.js, GraphQL, Kafka.
• Hands-on experience on React, TypeScript; familiarity with web components.
• Experience with Snowflake/Big Data for Reporting.
• Ability to design AI/ML solutions focusing on GenAI, LLMs, and RAG architectures.

Primary Responsibilities

• Be able to understand the feature requirements from the product and be able to come up with Technical Solutions keeping in mind the Scalability, Extensibility, Security, Cost etc. Come up with a plan break down the feature in workable stories. Work closely with Product & Development team
• Proven good written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting to all stake holders
• Should be a good communicator and can coordinate well with business and other stake holders
• Work collaboratively with the team and should be able to help others on technical issues or functional questions they might have
• Be able to own a feature and run through with the team and deliver on agreed upon timelines
• Be very solid in analyzing & providing complete technical solutions for the given problems
• Own the applications' technology stack and drive modern solutions to complex problems
• Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT/Math/Statistics/Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of overall experience in in AI/ML engineering or related fields
• Hands-on experience on Java, Spring boot, Camunda, Node.js , Next.js, Graphql, Kafka
• Hands-on experience on React, Typescript, Familiarity with web components/ Parcel component
• Experience with Snowflake/Big Data for Reporting
• Actively participate in projects deliverables within the Java Spring Framework, API, Angular, react and Kafka
• Design and implement AI/ML solutions with a focus on GenAI, LLMs, and RAG architectures and LLM evaluation frameworks
• Solid programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (eg, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Integrate AI solutions into enterprise applications using Azure Services like Azure Document Intelligence Service

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in health care industry
• Experience working in Agile environment
