Job summary

DP World’s Global Service Centre is hiring a Finance & Accounting professional to support accounts receivable processes and cash application with focus on accuracy and timely closure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow standard procedures and ensure payment postings align with ERP data.

With a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 0–2 years’ experience, you will handle workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and participate in shift-based operations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or commerce.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Good understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Excel.
• Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work in shifts as per business requirement, including night shift if required.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on overdue receivables and send payment reminders; escalate unresolved issues.
• Process daily cash applications; allocate payments and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyse ageing reports and customer payment patterns; follow up unaccounted entries.
• Propose process improvements to standardise and minimise workarounds.
• Be available for cross-functional training.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure timely and effective follow-up on overdue receivables, managing communication with customers for payment reminders, and escalating unresolved issues to higher management as necessary.
• Performing daily cash application processes, including complex transactions, overseeing the accurate allocation of incoming payments and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Analyse ageing reports and customer payment patterns. Identify and follow-up for unaccounted entries.
• Take initiatives in process improvement ideas to standardise and minimise the workaround.
• Be available for cross functional training.
