Job summary

Dow India is seeking an Associate Accounting Specialist to deliver high-quality cost accounting services and financial reporting support. You will manage cost accounting activities, support month-end close, maintain cost center accounting, and ensure compliance with statutory and cost audits.

You will collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive process excellence, support business decisions, and identify automation opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Qualified CA/CMA with 2+ years of cost accounting or costing experience.
  • Inter CA/Inter CMA or MBA with 5+ years of costing and accounting experience.
  • B.Com/M.Com or related discipline with 5+ years of costing and accounting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end closing activities and analyze global cost accounting reports.
  • Manage product cost estimates and provide insights on cost performance and variances.
  • Oversee supply chain cost accounting activities including budgeting and cost reviews.
  • Support MRO accounting processes and statutory and cost audit requirements.
  • Coordinate inventory stock take activities, cycle counting, reconciliation and budgeting exercises.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives including RPA.

About you and this role

As an Associate Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cost accounting services and financial reporting support to stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing cost accounting activities, supporting month-end close processes, maintaining cost center accounting, and ensuring compliance with statutory and cost audit requires.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to drive process excellence, support business decision-making, and identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a global environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support month-end closing activities, including generating, reviewing, and analyzing global cost accounting reports.
  • Manage product cost estimates (PCE) and provide insights on cost performance and variances.
  • Oversee supply chain cost accounting activities, including cost center accounting, budgeting, and financial reviews.
  • Support MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) accounting processes and statutory and cost audit requirements within the assigned region.
  • Coordinate inventory stock take activities, cycle counting reviews, reconciliation processes, and annual budgeting exercises.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, documentation updates, and participation in finance transformation projects, including Robotics Process Automation (RPA).
Qualifications
  • Qualified CA/CMA with a minimum of 2 years of relevant cost accounting or costing experience.
  • Inter CA, Inter CMA, or MBA with 5+ years of costing and accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or a related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience in costing and accounting.
  • Experience supporting month-end close, cost analysis, inventory accounting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or cost accounting environments is preferred.
Your Skills
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality support. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, cost center management, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and related business tools.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI, automation tools, and enterprise reporting systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-motivated team player with a strong customer and business partner mindset.
Additional Notes
  • Relocation/visa sponsorship is not aligned with this role.
  • Flexibility to work across global time zones is required, including occasional support outside standard business hours.
