Job summary

MassMutual India is seeking a technically versatile Aladdin Specialist to support global users and drive SME-level engagement across US, UK, and HK hours. You will enable efficient portfolio creation, user provisioning, and risk controls while coordinating with BlackRock and ECNs.

Key responsibilities include training, platform enhancements testing, and collaboration on remediation of control gaps. Strong Excel, VBA, SQL, and Power Platform skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Understanding of financial assets: equity, fixed income, derivatives, private assets
• Experience with Aladdin or other OMS a plus
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently during HK hours
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration with global teams

Responsibilities

• Understand Aladdin for public and private markets and become a SME to support global users
• Provide ongoing training through Aladdin Academy, webinars, and product releases
• Create/terminate portfolios and groups in Aladdin; populate Investor Ids as directed
• Create/terminate users; maintain access controls per requests
• Identify control gaps and propose remediation; document procedures and tips
• Collaborate with Blackrock to deliver solutions and escalate issues as needed
• Liaise with ECNs/ trading platforms to resolve issues including permissions and FIX connections
• Engage with Blackrock to log, track, and resolve issues
• Understand trade lifecycle, back-end data feeds, business workflows for Aladdin usage
• Test new processes or enhancements; contribute to project management
• Share knowledge with Barings colleagues on new functionalities
• Knowledge of VBA/SQL coding for automation and data handling
• Shift work: US/UK hours (rotational): 6:30PM-3:30AM (IST) or 12:30PM-9:30PM

Principal Responsibilities

Aladdin:

• Understand and be knowledgeable of Aladdin both for public and private
• Become a SME to support Aladdin users globally. This includes on-going training in Aladdin Academy, webinars, product releases
• Create and terminate portfolios in Aladdin in a timely manner
• Create portfolio groups as needed
• Populate Investor Ids as directed by Transition Team or Traders
• Create and terminate users in line with ServiceNow requests
• Understand the user permissions structure and maintain/create controls to ensure adherence to segregation of duties and audit reviews
• Identify control gaps and propose remediation
• Create and maintain procedures and tips sheet
• Work collegially with Blackrock to deliver suitable solutions for our business
• Provide feedback to BRS on quality and timeliness of responses
• Help with testing of new processes or enhancements

ECNs:
Liaise with the different trading platforms to resolve issues, including user permissions, FIX connection issues.

Active engagement with Blackrock

• Ensure issues, errors and requests are logged and tracked to resolution with Blackrock
• Escalate issues when necessary

Technical and Business Knowledge

• Understand financial assets: Equity, Fixed income, Derivatives, private assets
• Understand and be knowledgeable of the trade lifecycle, including back-end, data feeds etc.
• Understand the business workflows and requirements: how Aladdin is used by different teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented and highly motivated to learn new systems
• Proactive and ability to work independently with minimum supervision during HK hours
• Share technical knowledge with Barings colleagues, in particular linked to new functionalities or enhancements
• Project management skills
• Knowledge of PowerBi and Power Automate will be a plus
• Advance Excel skills (formula, pivot table)
• Previous experience with Aladdin or other OMS
• Coding language: VBA, SQL

Team

• Build strong, positive working relationships with business colleagues including Blackrock account managers in US, UK and HK.
• Build strong, positive working relationships within the team and across GPD.

Shift Timings

• Rotational Shifts / US - 6:30PM - 3:30AM / UK - 12:30PM - 9:30PM/ Either Monthly or Quarterly
