Job summary

Alp Consulting Ltd. in India is seeking an Associate 2- Audit to join a Big 4‑style audit practice in Kolkata and Bengaluru.

The role centers on US audit engagements and requires CA qualification with strong articleship experience. You will work with rotation teams, mentor junior associates, perform upfront reviews, implement process improvements, and ensure high-quality deliverables within agreed turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with 1.5 years of audit experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Articleship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral member of US audit engagement teams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of industry-specific audit procedures.
• Deliver high-quality work within agreed turnaround times.
• Timely raise issues to GDC seniors, managers and ET.
• Provide clarifications and mentor junior associates on audit papers.
• Perform upfront reviews as required for deliverables.
• Plan work to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Interact with US contacts for clarifications.
• Improve audit work papers based on ET feedback.
• Adopt process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Develop self and others by facilitating audit trainings.
• Participate in firm initiatives and CSR programs.

Job Location: Kolkata, Bangalore

The Requirement:

• Qualified CA and minimum of Bachelors’ degree
• Qualified CA to 1.5 years of experience with strong Articleship experience

Responsibilities:

• The Associate 2 will be predominantly responsible to
• Be an integral part of teams assigned as a fully integrated team member for US audit engagement teams
• Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of industry specific audit procedures
• Ensure the work is performed with high quality and completed within agreed turnaround time
• Timely raise any issues identified to the GDC Seniors, Managers and ET so that the quality and turnaround time are not impacted
• Provide clarifications, train and mentor junior associates on a timely basis on industry specific audit and accounting knowledge and client specific matters on audit work papers
• Perform upfront reviews wherever required for deliverables and as advised by the team lead
• Plan and organize the work in such a way that the Quality and Efficiency are not impacted on the deliverables
• Interact and seek clarifications from US rotational and ET points of contact
• Work on improvement in audit work papers based on ET feedback
• Continuously adopt process improvements and work towards improving efficiency in the performance of audit
• Develop self by participating in and developing others by facilitating audit conceptual trainings
• Participate in firm’s strategic initiatives and/or corporate social responsibility programs
