Standard Chartered India in Chennai seeks a senior Java backend specialist to drive AI-enabled integrations across enterprise applications. You will design scalable microservices, manage Kubernetes-based deployments and ensure secure data protocols in collaboration with global teams.

The role emphasizes API-first development, CI/CD discipline and robust observability, including prompt usage, latency monitoring and governance for responsible AI.

Competenze

• 7+ years in IT with at least 6 years in relevant domain.
• Proficient in RESTful API, SpringBoot 3.x, SpringBatch.
• Knowledge of relational and/or No-SQL databases.
• Experience with JMS messaging (Solace, Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Knowledge of API gateways, API security, OAuth 2/OIDC.
• Ability to manage CI/CD tasks using Azure ADO, Maven & Helm.
• Experience with container infrastructure: Kubernetes, OCP or AWS EKS.
• Agile experience with globally distributed teams.
• Design and integrate AI-enabled backend capabilities incl. LLM services, RAG, prompt orchestration, agent workflows, tool/function calling and AI service adapters.
• Implement secure AI integrations with governance, access control, auditability and privacy.
• Build AI integration services with Java/Spring Boot and approved frameworks.
• Support AI observability and resilience through logging, monitoring and feedback loops.

• Support AI observability and operational readiness by enabling logging, monitoring, prompt-token usage tracking, latency/error-rate tracking, feedback capture and continuous improvement of AI-enabled services.
