Job summary

Standard Chartered India is hiring for a senior backend developer to design, build, and maintain scalable Java-based services. You will work on REST and SOAP APIs, microservices, and secure data handling, leveraging Spring Boot, Maven, and containerized deployments.

The role requires strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, messaging systems, and database frameworks, along with collaboration across product and tech teams to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive Java backend experience with Spring/Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Strong API design/REST/SOAP and security fundamentals (SSL/mTLS, AuthN/AuthZ).
• Hands-on with CI/CD, Maven, Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, Solace, MQ) and ORM-based databases.
