Job summary

JLL is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Retail Services in Gurugram, India. The role focuses on strengthening JLL’s retail services business in the North region, leveraging a strong network of stakeholders including mall owners, brand owners and leasing teams.

You will work directly with owners and their business development teams to drive growth. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years plus experience in services, exceptional English communication, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post Graduate degree.
• 5-7 years+ work experience in services industry.
• External client-facing role experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen JLL’s Retail services business within the North region.
• Develop and manage relationships with retail brand owners, mall owners and leasing teams.
• Identify and secure quality retail real estate supply; coordinate with the supply team.
• Work directly with owners and their business development teams.
• Assist consulting/advisory teams on retail projects and development planning.

What this job involves

• Responsible for strengthening JLL’s Retail services business ; within North region
• Excellent knowledge of Retail Real Estate landscape and especially from retail brands; across various retail assets : Malls, High-Streets, Mixed-Use
• Should possess a large network of key stakeholders within retail industry – promoters / entrepreneurs ; large business houses which own multiple retail brands under their umbrella
• Experience of working “directly” with such key stakeholders and their Business Development teams. Must have “direct” contacts with such owners and not just through the teams below
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of various retail formats; and their business models / profitability, in order to determine which retailers can be placed in which retail development
• Demonstrated experience of assisting retail brands in growing geographically across NCR and / or other regions in North
• Responsible for identifying quality Retail Real Estate Supply in the market and managing Landlord relationships, in coordination with the Supply team
• Responsible for maintaining key relationships – retail brand owners; Mall Owners, Mall Leasing Teams, High-street Landlords
• Assist the Consulting / Advisory teams on newer projects and help zone retail developments from an ideal retail mix perspective.

Requirements

• Graduate or a Post Graduate
• Work Experience : 5-7 years + (services industry). Must have worked in an external client-facing role
• Strong Communication Skills – Verbal as well as written. Proficiency and fluency of English Language is a must.
• Should be open to travel (work dependent) within NCR and rest of the North cities;
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
