Job summary

HSBC is seeking an Assistant Vice President in Bengaluru to lead global financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analytics. You will coordinate with regional and product teams to ensure consistency with global guidance and deliver end-to-end data ownership, commentary and insights for senior stakeholders.

The role requires strong knowledge of reporting systems (TM1, Omnia) and automation tools (Python, Qlik, Tableau) with a track record in financial planning, consolidation and controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with +8 post-qualification experience in Financial and Management Reporting.
• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis processes with reporting and automation tools.

Assistant Vice President - Management Reporting

In This Role, You Will

• Lead Financial reporting Package, Forecast, Target changes and Budgeting for Global Central Investment Bank. Coordinate with Regional and Global product teams and ensure alignment with Global guidance.
• Further, undertake Actuals vs. Forecast analysis and end to end ownership of data, reporting and analysis and value adding commentaries.
• Reporting overall business and product level performance packs.
• Prepare and publish timelines for forecast, FRP and budgeting
• Proactive approach in communications and flagging issues to respective stakeholders
• Develop and publish various drillers for smooth reviews with product, regional and global teams.
• Coordinate with product, regional and global teams for commentary finalization.
• Review and challenge assumptions, provide suggestions to enhance Reporting improvements. Manage consol adjustment entities for any central placeholders and ensure they are timely allocated to regions
• Expert level proficiency in Global reporting systems i.e., TM1 (GRC, OPPL, BFR) and hands‑on experience with other reporting systems like SARACEN, OMNIA, Fusion, FTP, PSGL etc., will be an added advantage.

To Be Successful, You Will

• Qualified Accountant (CA, CWA, MBA, PG Commerce, Graduate Commerce) with +8 post qualification experience in Financial and Management Reporting
• Any Science/Arts graduates with relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis processes with strong working knowledge of reporting and automation tools i.e., Qlik, Python, Tableau, VBA, SQL
• Strong working knowledge of Financial Systems or Data Consolidation model/s is key (e.g., Omnia, TM1, HUB, FTP, and other similar systems) – Preferred.
• Experience in Data mining, analysis, Financial Statements, Audit/Controls
• Commercial acumen – Good knowledge of Banking Business drivers, P&L and Balance Sheet. Proven track record of implementing and operating processes
• Effective communication and ability to interact with multiple employee levels/business partners.
• Prior experience in fields like Forecasting, FRP, Cost, Stress Testing, processes, financial and management reporting.
