Job summary

Raheja QBE General Insurance is seeking a seasoned Underwriter to manage liability proposals and support business development in Mumbai. The role involves liaising with brokers, coordinating with reinsurance, and ensuring full regulatory compliance in underwriting decisions.

The ideal candidate will have 6–8 years of underwriting experience in General Insurance, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in liability products.
• Experience with analytical tools and statistics.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree from a recognized university.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting of Liability proposals for various products and clients.
• Business development: Customer interaction for deal closures, Techno- marketing, Product Presentations etc.
• Channel Management: interface between Brokers and Customers - training and development of various Liability products
• Coordination with other depts.: such as reinsurance, product specialists and accounts.
• Policy administration and documentation.
• Contribute in price review exercise at regular intervals through market benchmarking & identifying the areas for correction
• Liaison with all stakeholders (Sales, IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance) for all Underwriting matters.
• Ensure 100% compliance with all regulatory & product approval related aspects.
• Work with IT and Operations staff to ensure that business requirements are met and that customers are provided with a high level of service.
