Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance is seeking an Assistant Vice President - IT to lead engineering efforts and scale our MERN stack and Flutter-based platforms. You will drive high-performance APIs, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product teams to shape a robust IT roadmap.

The role requires 6–8 years of IT leadership, a strong engineering background, and a track record of delivering scalable, secure applications within a corporate environment.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6–8 years of IT leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead engineers and deliver scalable software.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers to implement new features, improvements and fixes needed to handle our current and future scale
• Integrate RESTful API’s, internal web services ensuring high performance
• Write and drive building of high quality, reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Build, optimize and scale our MERN stack & Flutter platform’s and applications
• Design and Implement low-latency, high-availability, secure and performant applications
• Resolve technical issues and roadblocks faced by less experienced team members
• Drive agile methodologies and improve systems and processesCollaborating extensively across teams - internal and external
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes for them
• You will work closely with Product Owners and other Internal teams to define and shape the tasks we work on.
