Job summary

Xpheno in Mumbai seeks an Assistant Vice President to lead the Employee Co-Invest Program, overseeing end-to-end fund operations, accounting, investor servicing and reporting for employee co-investment funds.

The role requires 10+ years in fund/investment accounting, CA/CPA, deep US GAAP knowledge, NAV, capital calls, distributions and investor reporting, plus strong leadership across Mumbai and US teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting / Investment Accounting / Financial Services.
• CA / CPA qualification.
• Big 4 / Public Accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with fund accounting, NAV, capital calls, distributions and investor reporting.
• Strong team and stakeholder management experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas/macros.
• Experience with Investran, eFront or similar investment platforms is an advantage.
• Exposure to investor portals, Power BI/Tableau is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage fund operations, investor onboarding, servicing and relationship management.
• Oversee capital calls, distributions, NAV reconciliations and investor allocations.
• Review and approve quarterly/annual US GAAP financial statements and reporting.
• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, banks/lenders and internal stakeholders.
• Lead year-end audits and resolve audit queries.
• Support new fund launches, fund structures, legal documentation and operational setup.
• Manage debt facilities and compliance reporting.
• Lead and mentor US & Mumbai-based teams.
• Drive process improvements, reporting automation and technology initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines and senior stakeholder requirements.
