Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Assistant Supply Chain Manager for a fixed-term 7-month role in Mumbai, India. You will manage logistics networks, coordinate with 3PLs and CHAs, and align supply chain strategies with procurement.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a logistics network and shipment frequency for a geographic area.
• Coordinate logistics planning with 3PL providers and CHAs.

• Monitor fleet performance data and develop improvement/action plans.
• Process Procure to Pay for timely payments and handle invoice discrepancies.
• Manage stakeholders across technical teams, category teams, and 3PL partners.
• Collaborate with 3PL for deliveries to warehouses and vessels.
• Ensure optimal use of vessel budgets and compliance with SOPs and regulations.
• Follow Maersk’s 4R Principle: Right price, place, time and quantities.
• Support Maersk’s carbon-neutral initiative in supply chains.

Job title: Assistant Supply Chain Manager

Fixed Term role- 7 months

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a logistics network and shipment frequency for a specified geographical area, ensuring timely forwarding of spares to designated vessels
• Handle logistics planning and arrangements involving interactions with the 3rd party logistics provider (3PL) & customs house agents (CHAs).
• Align supply chain + category strategy with procurement counterparts
• Monitor fleet performance data and develop improvement / action plans. Attend meetings with stakeholders to address the same
• Follow Procure to Pay process (PTP) for timely payments to vendors and handle invoices with discrepancies.
• Stakeholder management across technical organizations, different category teams, 3PL partners etc.
• Work closely with 3rd party logistics provider (3PL) for smooth follow-up on deliveries to warehouses and vessels.
• Ensure optimum utilization of vessel budgets.
• Ensure team stakeholders complies with SOPs, contract terms and conditions compliance, and international regulations.
• Follow the 4R Principle - Right price, Right Place, Right time and Right Quantities.
• Always Follow the Maersk's carbon neutral initiative to minimize the carbon emission in our supply chains.
• Must have the sense of urgency to address all pressing matters with key stakeholders.

• Person with minimum 4-5 years of relevant work experience
