Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Ahmedabad is seeking an experienced BIM Engineer to join our project delivery team. You will develop models and drawings, coordinate with BIM coordinators, and drive standardization of components and workflows in hydropower and energy projects.

The role requires 5–10 years in modelling and detailing, Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and strong leadership and communication skills. On-site work and a global collaboration mindset are expected.

Qualifications

• ITI in engineering discipline; Diploma/Degree may be advantageous.
• 5–10 years of experience in modelling and detailing.
• Experience in energy/power projects is an advantage.
• Proficient in 2D/3D modelling using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated involvement in hydropower project delivery.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop models, drawings, quantities takeoffs and schedules.
• Understand client requirements and standards for models, details and drawings.
• Ensure QC processes deliver high-quality work on time.
• Standardize workflows and manage electronic information.
• Coordinate with BIM coordinators and project managers.
• Promote standardization of components and processes.
• Guide and train team members in BIM development.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing models and drawings, quantities take off/ Schedules
• Understanding client requirements and standards for developing models, details and drawings.
• Ensuring QC process is being followed, delivery to the right quality and timelines
• Standardizing workflows based on the project requirements and managing electronic information
• Coordination with BIM coordinators and Project Managers
• Promotes standardization of components and processes

Candidate Specification

• ITI in respective Engineering discipline. Diploma/Degree will be an added advantage.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of Modelling and detailing.
• Experience in Energy/power projects would be an advantage
• Experience in other sector can be considered if the candidate has expertise in modelling and detailing of RCC and structural steel structures.
• Should be well conversant with 2D/3D modelling using Revit & Autocad.
• Should demonstrate substantial involvement in the delievery of Hydropower project.
• Should be technology focused and understand industry developments.
• Should be able to guide, troubleshoot and train team members to perform varied levels of development in BIM projects and drive outcomes
• Should be able to assist in Modelling and Extraction of deliverables
• Good communication skills and leadership skills
• A professional attitude towards work and self-motivated
• Be a team player and have multi-disciplinary co-ordination skill
