Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Bengaluru, India, invites an experienced BIM MEPF modeller to join our Global Delivery Services Centre. You will develop and maintain BIM MEPF models, coordinate services across disciplines, and generate drawings directly from the models.

You will mentor junior modellers, help implement BEPs, perform clash detection with Navisworks/ACC, and ensure deliverables meet LOD and client expectations. A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of BIM MEPF modelling, coordination and sheet preparation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality BIM MEPF models, ensuring coordination and data accuracy.
• Coordinate MEP services within multidisciplinary teams and resolve clashes early.
• Prepare clear MEPF drawings and sheet sets from the BIM model per standards.
• Perform QA/QC checks on models and drawings for coordination and standards.
• Support junior BIM modelers and ensure delivery on schedule.
• Work with BIM Managers to align deliverables with project goals and client expectations.
• Assist in implementing BIM Execution Plans and project standards.
• Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks or ACC.
• Keep outputs up to date with LOD requirements.
• Contribute to workflow improvements with technology teams.

As part of GDSC in India, you will be working alongside Mott MacDonald international colleagues delivering ambitious projects across a broad range of building types including commercial, residential, retail and offices, education, healthcare, airports, data center, hotels, sports and events venues, and Metro & stations. Under this sector, our services span the whole asset cycle from advisory to consulting, through design and delivery, to asset management. Job Description:

• Develop and maintain high-quality BIM MEPF models, making sure everything is well-coordinated, data is accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
• Work closely within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate MEP services, identifying clashes early and resolving design or constructability issues efficiently.
• Prepare clear and detailed MEPF drawings and sheet sets directly from the BIM model, ensuring they are as per standards.
• Carry out thorough QA/QC checks on both models and drawings, ensuring everything is coordinated, clash-free, and meets project and company standards before submission.
• Should have good understandings of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, PHE & Fire Protection).
• Strong attention to detail with focus on drawing and modelling accuracy.
• Support and guide junior BIM modelers by sharing technical knowledge, helping them meet standards, and keeping delivery on track.
• Work closely with BIM Managers to ensure BIM deliverables stay on schedule and align with project goals and client expectations.
• Play an active role in implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), along with project standards and workflows, to ensure consistency across deliverables.
• Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using tools like Navisworks or ACC and follow through on resolving any issues.
• Regularly review outputs to ensure they are accurate, buildable, and ready as per LOD requirements.
• Contribute to improving workflows by collaborating with technology teams to enhance BIM tools, processes, and automation.
• Knowledge of automation tools and its implementation in BIM projects.
• Keep up to date with the latest BIM technologies, ISO 19650 standards, and industry trends to continuously improve delivery quality.
