Job summary

Mott MacDonald’s Global Delivery Services Centre in Mumbai is seeking a BIM Technician / BIM Engineer (Revit Electrical) to create high-quality BIM models for electrical building services, including lighting, power and schematics. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to translate design intent into precise 3D/2D deliverables.

You should have 3+ years of BIM experience with Revit, familiarity with international standards, and a proactive approach to QA/QC and continuous BIM

Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma/ Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in electrical modelling using Autodesk Revit for building services.
• Exposure to substation or Oil & Gas projects.
• Familiarity with international standards, including British and GCC standards.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality BIM models and drawings for electrical building services, including lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, schematics and schedules.
• Develop 3D models of substations in Revit and produce accurate 2D deliverables to support design and construction.
• Apply engineering insight through basic electrical design calculations to improve system performance.
• Ensure QA/QC and technical accuracy across deliverables.
• Collaborate across disciplines with mechanical, structural and architectural teams for integrated design solutions.
• Deliver on commitments and manage time to meet project deadlines.
• Support digital excellence and contribute to continuous BIM improvements and best practices.

Your Role and Impact:

In this role, you will contribute to the success of complex projects by:

• Creating high-quality BIM models and drawings for electrical building services, including lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection, schematics, and schedules
• Developing 3D models of substations in Revit and producing accurate 2D deliverables that support design and construction
• Applying engineering insight through basic electrical design calculations to enhance system performance and reliability
• Ensuring quality and precision by following robust QA/QC processes and maintaining technical accuracy in all deliverables
• Collaborating across disciplines, working closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to achieve integrated design solutions
• Delivering on commitments, managing your time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards
• Supporting digital excellence, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in BIM practices

What You Bring:

We welcome individuals who are driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about BIM and electrical design:

• ITI / Diploma / Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in electrical modelling using Autodesk Revit for building services
• Exposure to substation or Oil & Gas projects
• Familiarity with layout drawings and schematic diagrams for electrical systems
• Knowledge of international standards, including British and GCC standards
• Experience with MicroStation (advantageous)
• Exposure to BIM collaboration platforms such as BIM 360 or ProjectWise (preferred)
• Ability to work independently without mark-ups, demonstrating confidence and accountability
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering quality work
