Mahindra And Mahindra Limited in Nagpur is seeking an Assistant Manager - Security to oversee plant security, govern access control, and manage incident response. The role requires coordinating with police and government bodies while directing security staff and SOP development.

The candidate should have 6–8 years in security within manufacturing or ex-armed forces, with proven training delivery and disciplinary exposure.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of security experience in manufacturing or ex-armed forces.
• Experience in security training and incident response.
• Experience interfacing with police and government agencies.
• Ability to develop SOPs and train security staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall security to the plant and deter threats such as theft, fraud, misappropriation, and sabotage.
• Implement effective access control to restrict entry of unauthorized personnel.
• Ensure perimeter security and safe material/vehicle movement within the plant; optimize use of electronic security and key management.
• Create incident response procedures on a 24/7 basis and keep security staff ready.
• Assist management with disciplinary and legal matters.
• Liaise with local police, government agencies and neighborhood firms.
• Develop and conduct security training covering emergencies, escalation procedures, communications, evacuation, and surveillance.
• Create SOP documents for all security posts and refresh staff through regular training. Provide IR input during sensitive situations.

Assistant Manager - Security Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• To provide overall security to plant, keeping threats such as theft, fraud, misappropriation, sabotage, at bay by introducing effective security systems and controls ensuring smooth production environment.
• Ensure effective access control system to restrict entry of unauthorized personnel inside the plant.
• Ensure effective perimeter security, safe movement of material & other vehicles in plant, optimal use of electronic security, material movement, key management.
• To create incident response procedure on 24/7 basis , keeping security staff in readiness.
• Assist company management with disciplinary and legal matters.
• To liaison effectively with local police, Govt. agencies and neighborhood industrial establishments.
• Develop and conduct security training of all security personnel. Training content to include: emergency response measures, threat escalation procedures, communication, physical evacuation, handling of security equipment, surveillance, patrolling etc.
• To create a document on SOP of all security post and refresh the entire security staff by regular training. To be vigilant & give inputs to management during sensitive situation from IR point of view
