Role Purpose
The Assistant - Community Mobilizer will be responsible for identifying and enrolling children aged 6 to 14 years to the Multi Activity Centres (MACs) and providing support in the operations of the MACs including supporting children to use materials provides, assisting in delivering life-skills education, access to identified and sustainable social protection schemes, child rights, health camps, menstrual hygiene management and growth monitoring support to AWC.
S/he will also be responsible for maintaining cordial relationship with external stakeholders at the community level along with schools, parents, PHC, AWC, community leaders.
Also, this role required 6 days working in the field (only second and forth Saturday will be off)
Role responsibilities
- Identification enrolment of children in MAC, who are not going to mainstream schools in the intervention area.
- Improve access to identified and sustainable social protection schemes
- Facilitate health camps in support with Govt. PHC
- Building awareness on Menstrual Health and Hygiene issues
- Undertake Growth Monitoring Anthropometry of the children (0-5 years)
- Assist in delivering life-skills education to children enrolled in MAC.
- Provide support to the Academic Support Fellows in smooth operation of MAC.
- Undertake home visits and follow up with children who have been mainstreamed in formal schools
- Mobilize and facilitate active participation of children and their communities to participate in planning, monitoring and implementation and evaluation of community development initiatives.
- Build the capacity of children, families, and community to collectively engage local leaders on identified issues.
- Follow-up on commitments by leaders on improvement of the wellbeing of children.
- Sensitize children, guardians/parents, and other stakeholders about children's rights and responsibilities to identify child violations
- S/he would document periodic progress, case studies of best practices, etc. of her assigned area and share with the Project Coordinator/Assistant Manager.
- Timely collection and submission of all MIS-related information and data to the project lead.
- Submit the work plan on a weekly/monthly basis to the project lead.
- Submit monthly progress reports to the Project lead.
- Any other work assigned by the line manager.
Measures of Performance
- Past experience in Community mobilization/ teaching.
- Quality and quantity of Project / Programme Implementation.
- Efficiency and quality of reports /documents generated under the project.
- Quality of PIP and compliance of work plan and cash flow.

- Experience >01 to 02 years of relevant experience in community mobilization/teaching
