Job summary

AAFT’s School of Interior Design seeks an Assistant Professor to teach, craft lessons, and mentor students in interior design. The role covers design fundamentals, materials, space planning and industry practices, with on-site duties at Noida campus.

The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Interior Design or related field and bring teaching or industry experience, with strong skills in drawing, 3D installations, and software such as AutoCAD/SketchUp/Revit/3ds Max.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Teaching or studio mentoring experience in Interior Design.
• Strong drawing, material exploration and 3D installations skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Good understanding of space planning, materials, design development, and visualization.
• Excellent communication, presentation and student mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/ or postgraduate courses in interior design.
• Prepare lesson plans, deliver lectures, conduct studio sessions and guide project work.
• Evaluate student performance and provide academic mentoring.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental activities.
• Support institutional initiatives and engage in academic events.

Role Description The Assistant Professor – SOID (School of Interior Design) will teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in interior design, including design fundamentals, materials, space planning, and industry practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, conducting studio sessions, guiding project work, evaluating student performance, and providing academic mentoring. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental meetings, engaging in academic events, and supporting institutional initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, requiring regular presence on campus and active collaboration with faculty and students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field.
