Position Overview
Applications are invited for Assistant Professor Public Health (Foundations of Public Health & Epidemiology) positions in the School of Liberal Arts and Languages, CGC University, Mohali. The role involves teaching, research, student mentoring, and institutional contribution in the field of Public Health.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Delivery
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions effectively.
- Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
- Apply modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
- Engage students through interactive and outcome-based teaching practices.
2. Research & Publications
- Publish research papers in reputed and indexed journals.
- Participate in conferences, FDPs, workshops, and academic activities.
- Contribute to research projects, grants, and collaborative research initiatives.
- Encourage interdisciplinary research in Public Health and related areas.
3. Community & Industry Engagement
- Develop collaborations with hospitals, healthcare organizations, NGOs, government bodies, and public health institutions.
- Facilitate field visits, community-based learning, workshops, and guest lectures.
- Contribute to public health awareness and community outreach initiatives.
4. Eligibility Criteria
- A. Educational Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Public Health / relevant discipline with a Masters Degree in a relevant field.
- NET/SET as applicable, as per UGC norms.
- B. Experience
- Candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply.
- Prior teaching, research, public health, healthcare, or industry experience will be preferred.
- C. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Public Health or relevant discipline is preferred.
- Publications in reputed indexed journals such as Scopus/Web of Science.
- Strong knowledge of Public Health concepts and practices.
- Experience in Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
- Research orientation and ability to undertake independent research.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Student engagement and mentoring ability.
- Familiarity with LMS, digital teaching tools, and contemporary learning methodologies.
- Ability to contribute to community-based and interdisciplinary public health initiatives.
