Role Description

The Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Mohali district campus of Chandigarh University. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate CSE courses, preparing lesson plans, conducting lectures, labs, tutorials, and assessments, and maintaining high academic standards. The Associate Professor is expected to guide student projects, supervise research work, and support learners through mentoring, counseling, and regular feedback. Daily responsibilities include participating in curriculum development, contributing to departmental meetings and academic committees, engaging in research and scholarly publications, and collaborating on funded projects and industry partnerships. • Familiarity with emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, or IoT is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated teaching skills, including course planning, instructional design, classroom delivery, student evaluation, and use of educational technologies.
• Active interest in research, with the ability to publish in peer-reviewed venues and contribute to funded projects and collaborative research initiatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Minimum qualification: Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution; Ph.D. (awarded or near completion) is preferred.
