Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative scholarly research in areas such as development studies, health systems research, global public health, primary health care or implementation science.
• Publish research articles in high‑impact journals and attract competitive grants to maintain active research programmes.
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervise research postgraduate students.
• Perform administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree or equivalent in public health, epidemiology, economics, political science, geography, medical anthropology, medical sociology, international health law or a related discipline.
• Prior research experience in development studies, health systems research, global public health, primary health care or implementation science.
• Strong track record of high‑quality research indicated by publication record and external grants.
• Evidence of international recognition and ability to work across disciplines toward new research initiatives.
• Strong commitment to teaching students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Benefits and Terms

Appointment is on a three‑year fixed‑term contract, renewable and may be considered for tenure after the second term. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience is offered, together with annual leave, medical benefits, contract‑end gratuity and a University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme of up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable.
