The Assistant Professor in Operations Research will be responsible for teaching, research, and academic development in areas such as optimization, quantitative techniques, business analytics, and decision sciences. The role requires a strong research orientation with publications in reputed journals and the ability to integrate analytical tools into management education.
1. Teaching Academic Delivery
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in:
- Operations Research
- Quantitative Techniques
- Business Analytics
- Supply Chain Analytics
- Develop course materials, case studies, and practical applications using tools like Python, R, Excel Solver, etc.
- Conduct student assessments, mentoring, and project supervision.
2. Research Publications
- Publish research papers in Scopus / SCI / ABDC indexed journals.
- Undertake research in areas such as:
- Optimization models
- Decision sciences
- AI/ML applications in operations
- Apply for research grants, patents, and consultancy projects.
- Participate in national and international conferences.
3. Academic Administration
- Contribute to curriculum development aligned with NEP/UGC norms.
- Participate in accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA).
- Support departmental and institutional academic activities.
4. Industry Collaboration
- Develop industry linkages for live projects and internships.
- Conduct MDPs, FDPs, and consultancy assignments.
- Integrate real-world problem-solving into teaching.
- PhD in Operations Research / Management / Business Analytics / Industrial Engineering (mandatory or submitted thesis with strong publication record).
- Master s degree (MBA / M.Tech / M.Sc.) with specialization in Operation Research
