Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology, Microbiology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• B.Sc. MLT/BMLT or equivalent as prescribed for the post.
• Teaching experience in academia and/or clinical laboratories preferred.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques, biosafety standards, and quality control practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver theory lectures and practical sessions for MLT/BMLT students.
• Teach Medical Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, and related subjects as per curriculum.
• Conduct practical demonstrations on microbiological techniques, culture methods, staining procedures, specimen processing, and lab diagnostics.
• Supervise laboratory practicals and ensure biosafety, QA, and infection prevention & control protocols.
• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate students through practical and theoretical examinations and maintain attendance, records, and practical logs.
• Guide and mentor students during laboratory practicals, clinical postings, and research activities.
• Assist in curricular development, documentation, accreditation processes, and faculty development programs.

Job Summary: Doon Institute of Medical Sciences (DIMS), Dehradun is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Faculty Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT/BMLT) - Microbiology to join its Allied & Health Sciences Department. The ideal candidate should have strong academic knowledge and practical expertise in Medical Microbiology and be committed to delivering quality education and clinical training to undergraduate students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver theory lectures and practical sessions for MLT/BMLT students.
• Teach Medical Microbiology, Clinical Microbiology, and other related subjects as per the curriculum.
• Conduct practical demonstrations on microbiological techniques, culture methods, staining procedures, specimen processing, and laboratory diagnostics.

Eligibility Criteria

• M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology, Microbiology, or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
• B.Sc. MLT/BMLT or other qualifications as prescribed for the post.
• Teaching experience in an academic institution and/or clinical laboratory experience will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological laboratory techniques, biosafety standards, and quality control practices.
• Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
