Job summary

K.K. Medical College & Hospital, Rajgir, Nalanda, invites applications for a General Surgeon to examine, diagnose, and manage patients with general surgical conditions, providing OPD, IPD, emergency, and on-call services as per the duty roster.

You will perform surgical procedures appropriate to your qualifications, manage pre-operative assessment, consent, post-operative care, and coordinate with anaesthesiology, radiology, pathology, and critical care teams while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MS or DNB specialization in general surgery.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical experience.
• Willingness for on-call duties as per duty roster.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with general surgical conditions.
• Provide OPD, IPD, emergency, and on-call surgical services as per the duty roster.
• Perform surgical procedures appropriate to the doctor's qualifications, training, experience, and assigned designation.
• Manage pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, informed consent, and post-operative care.
• Handle surgical emergencies, including acute abdominal conditions, trauma, gastrointestinal emergencies, and other general surgical cases within the scope of practice.
• Coordinate with anaesthesiology, radiology, pathology, critical care, and other relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, operative notes, discharge summaries, and follow-up documentation.
• Ensure patient safety, infection prevention, surgical site safety, and adherence to established clinical protocols.
