Job summary

Vinaya Corporation is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Engineer to support senior engineers in the installation and commissioning of ship machinery and diesel generators.

You will assist in aligning propeller shafts, stern gears, and auxiliary equipment, and participate in repair/overhaul activities for marine engines, pumps, and compressors. You will read drawings, follow technical instructions, prepare service records, and ensure safety and quality in on-site environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding Engineering, or equivalent.
• Diploma holders in Mechanical / Marine trades will also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of ship construction, marine propulsion systems, and diesel generators.
• Familiarity with tools, machinery installation, and alignment techniques.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work in on-site shipyard or industrial environments.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.
