Go Insure India is seeking a senior Zoho Developer to own the architectural and delivery ownership of our Zoho environment. You will lead end-to-end development on Zoho Creator, customize Zoho apps across the business, and drive automation and API integrations with external systems.

The role requires a proven track record as the sole technical authority, strong Deluge skills, and experience delivering complex integrations while setting design standards and documentation.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We run our broking operations on Zoho, and we are hiring one developer to take architectural and delivery ownership of that environment. This is a senior individual contributor role, not a support or IT administration role. The work is custom application development on Zoho Creator, customisation of the Zoho applications in use across the business, and the automation and API integration that connects them to each other and to the external systems we depend on. Automation and integration make up the bulk of it. You will be the technical authority: setting the design standards the environment is built to, deciding where native capability serves and where custom development is warranted, and carrying requirements from department heads through design, build, testing, release and documentation without supervision. We want someone who has already held this responsibility elsewhere and can explain the design decisions behind the work, not only the work itself.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design of the Zoho environment: data architecture, application boundaries, integration patterns, environment strategy. Set and enforce development standards.
• Decide, and record the basis on which you decide, whether a requirement is met by configuration, custom development or a third-party solution. Advise management on roadmap, effort and technical risk.
• Build custom applications on Zoho Creator end to end, through to production release, and refactor inherited work. Write Deluge to a standard a successor can maintain.
• Design automation within and across applications so data entered once propagates everywhere it is needed, with escalation and exception handling.
• Design and maintain integrations with external systems using REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks and scheduled jobs, with retry logic, failure alerting and reconciliation. Plan migrations including cutover and rollback.
• Turn business problems into specifications with department heads, then estimate, test, release, train users and document. Configure roles and sharing on least privilege; support audit.
• Where consultants or junior resources are engaged, scope their work and accept or reject deliverables on technical grounds.

Technical Skills

• Languages: Deluge (fluency essential), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, JSON, XML, and Python, Java or Node.js.
• Deluge: custom, standalone and scheduled functions; invokeurl; integration tasks; error handling, logging and recovery design; collections, maps, date and time; statement and API limits.
• Creator: relational data models with lookups and subforms at scale; forms, validation, dynamic picklists; reports and dashboards; workflows and custom actions; pages, widgets, Zoho CLI, JS SDK; portals; REST API; environments, versioning, deployment.
• CRM: custom modules, layouts, layout and validation rules; Blueprint, CommandCenter, workflow, assignment, approval; Client Script, Canvas, Wizards, widgets; APIs including COQL, Bulk Read/Write, webhooks; roles, profiles, sharing, field-level security; sandbox.
• Desk: blueprints, SLAs, escalation and assignment rules, macros, custom functions, APIs, help centre.
• Flow: multi-application flows, decision logic, custom functions, webhook triggers, idempotent design.
• APIs: Zoho API Console, scopes, grant and refresh tokens, India data centre domains; REST, SOAP, SFTP; OAuth 2.0; pagination, rate limits, API credits; integration architecture and failure recovery.
• Analytics: query tables, data blending, calculated columns, dashboards.
• Wider suite: People, Recruit, Books, Payroll, Expense, Projects, Bookings, WorkDrive, Marketing Automation, Campaigns, Social, Forms, Sign, Writer merge, Cliq, Directory, Vault, Catalyst, Sigma.
• Tooling: Zoho CLI, Extension Toolkit, Postman, Git.
• Security: DPDP Act 2023, least privilege, audit trails, ISO 27001 aligned practice.

Competencies

• Data models and integration architecture that hold up after years of transactions and successive changes in requirement.
• Able to operate as sole technical authority, and to push back where a request is technically unsound.
• Sound prioritisation across competing departments.

Languages

• English, professional written and spoken. Hindi, fluent spoken.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications or Engineering (B Tech, B E, BCA, B Sc CS or equivalent); other disciplines considered on demonstrated production Zoho work.
• Four to seven years hands-on Zoho development, including multiple Creator applications where you owned the design, production integrations with external systems, and prior experience as principal or sole Zoho developer, or technical lead on client implementations.
• Zoho Creator Certified Developer at Professional level strongly preferred, Associate acceptable; Zoho CRM certification an advantage.
• Insurance or financial services background an advantage, not essential.

Location and work arrangement

• Kirti Nagar, New Delhi
• On-site, Monday to Friday. Remote and hybrid working are not available. Remote work may be permitted only in an emergency or exceptional circumstance, temporarily and at managements sole discretion; it is not an entitlement. Candidates seeking a remote or hybrid role should not apply.
