Job summary

Alkem Laboratories Limited is seeking a sustainability professional to lead and own the organization's ESG agenda, covering disclosures, ratings, and strategic initiatives.

The role involves coordinating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to embed sustainability into business processes and ensure timely, high‑quality ESG reporting across frameworks like BRSR, GRI, DJSI, EcoVadis, and CDP.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in ESG consulting or sustainability reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with ESG disclosures and ratings submissions.
  • Exposure to MSCI and Sustainalytics methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end ESG disclosures, including BRSR and GRI reporting.
  • Coordinate ESG ratings submissions (DJSI, EcoVadis, CDP).
  • Drive and support sustainability initiatives such as LCA, supplier assessments, materiality.
  • Collaborate with HR, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal, EHS, and external consultants.
  • Track timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder expectations across ESG workstreams.

About the Role:

We are seeking a high-potential sustainability professional to drive and own the organization's ESG agenda. This role offers end-to-end responsibility across sustainability disclosures, ESG ratings, strategic projects, assurance, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with senior leadership to embed sustainability into business processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Own end-to-end ESG disclosures, including BRSR and GRI reporting.

  • Support alignment with emerging reporting frameworks and regulations; knowledge of IFRS Sustainability Standards (IFRS S1 & S2) is an advantage.

  • Lead ESG ratings and assessment submissions including DJSI, EcoVadis, and CDP.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to collect, validate, and consolidate ESG data.

  • Support and drive sustainability initiatives such as Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), supplier ESG assessments, materiality assessments, TCFD, and TNFD projects.

  • Drive implementation of ESG frameworks, sustainability roadmaps, and process improvements.

  • Coordinate end-to-end external assurance activities for ESG disclosures and submissions.

  • Prepare management presentations and leadership updates.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Legal, EHS, and external consultants.

  • Track project timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder expectations across multiple ESG workstreams.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in ESG consulting, sustainability reporting, ESG ratings, or corporate sustainability.

  • Prior consulting experience preferred.

  • Hands‑on experience with ESG disclosures and ratings submissions.

  • Exposure to MSCI and Sustainalytics methodologies is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Management, or a related field.
