Job summary

Diageo in Baramathi Unit, Pune, seeks an Assistant Manager - Supply Finance Business Partner to drive plant financial performance and cost control. You will partner with production, supply chain, engineering and procurement teams to manage costs, budgets and capex.

The role focuses on MIS, cost reporting, audits, and ensuring timely month- and year-end closes, while supporting governance and sustainability across brands.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant MIS and cost reporting.
• Ability to prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections.
• Strong grasp of cost accounting and production cost control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly plant MIS, cost reports, and variance analysis.
• Monitor manufacturing costs and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections.
• Review production, material consumption, and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing.
• Monitor fixed and variable overheads and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Manage capital expenditure (Capex), CWIP, asset capitalization, and depreciation.
• Support internal, statutory, and cost audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, SOPs, and company policies.
• Partner with production, supply chain, engineering, and procurement teams to improve plant efficiency.
• Track productivity savings and monitor project financial benefits.
• Prepare business cases for capital investments and cost-saving initiatives.
• Statutory compliance related to plant finance.
• CARM control applicable to unit.
