Job summary

Croma is looking for a skilled Retail Store Designer to lead the end-to-end design and execution of store layouts and formats in Mumbai. This role requires strong proficiency in space planning, brand-aligned concepts, and cross-functional collaboration with architects, contractors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in interior design or architecture.
• Experience in retail store design or related projects.
• Experience with retail brands, design consultancies, or fit-out firms.
• Strong knowledge of retail space planning and customer flow.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Suite is a plus.
• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop store layouts, floor plans, and retail concepts aligned with brand standards.
• Manage end-to-end store design projects, including new stores, renovations, and refurbishments.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
• Review drawings, BOQs, material specifications, and monitor project quality, budgets, and timelines.
• Conduct site visits to ensure design compliance and execution excellence.
• Recommend improvements in store layouts, lighting, signage, fixtures, and customer flow.
• Stay updated on retail design trends, materials, and best practices to enhance the in-store customer experience.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 812 years of experience in retail store design, interior design, architecture, or retail fit-out projects.
• Experience working with retail brands, design consultancies, architecture firms, or interior fit-out companies.
• Strong understanding of retail space planning, customer journey, and project execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
• Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
