Job summary

Yash Highvoltage Limited in Vadodara is seeking an Assistant Manager / Senior Electrical Design Engineer to design HV and high-current transformer bushings and related components in line with international standards and customer specifications.

You will prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, and drawings, support prototype development and testing, and contribute to customized retrofit solutions while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and sales

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electrical power systems, high voltage engineering, and transformer design principles.
• Proficiency in electrical design calculations, insulation coordination, and material selection for high voltage applications.
• Experience with CAD/CAE tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for electrical and mechanical design of components.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards and regulations related to transformer bushings and power equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and test reports, and prepare clear technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of high voltage equipment is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams and global customers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Prior experience in transformer manufacturing, bushings, or power transmission equipment design will be an advantage.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara for an Assistant Manager / Senior Electrical Design Engineer. The role involves designing and developing high voltage and high current transformer bushings and related components in line with international standards and customer specifications. The individual will prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, and technical drawings, and support prototype development, testing, and validation.
