Job summary

ReNew seeks an experienced Assistant Manager - SCADA to lead SCADA integration across solar, wind, and energy storage sites in Hyderabad. The role requires collaboration with IT/OT teams, vendors, and project managers to ensure seamless data flow and asset onboarding onto Tier-2 SCADA.

The candidate will support site operations, maintain documentation, and implement testing protocols while staying current on OT security practices to protect industrial control systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems in renewable energy facilities.
• Ability to coordinate with IT and OT teams for secure networking.
• Knowledge of data transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP/OPC/API).
• Strong problem-solving and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to integrate SCADA with solar, wind, hydro, and storage assets.
• Interact with SCADA providers for Tier-2 SCADA implementations.
• Coordinate with project managers and electrical engineers for asset onboarding onto Tier-2 SCADA.
• Provide site support, troubleshoot, and implement corrective actions quickly.

General Job Description

Solar SCADA and networking expert & state co-ordinator

Specific Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to integrate SCADA systems with various renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, hydro, and energy storage
• Interact with SCADA solution providers for implementation of Solar unified Tier-2 SCADA
• Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new assets onto Tier-2 SCADA
• Provide technical support for site teams, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain documentation for SCADA systems, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Develop and implement testing protocols to validate the performance and reliability of SCADA systems
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address potential issues in the SCADA infrastructure
• Develop and maintain robust IT networking solutions through ReNew IT team to support SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure and scalable networking infrastructure for seamless data transmission
• Facilitate data transfer to Forecasting and SCADA solution providers through FTP, SFTP, OPC or API etc.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure alignment with SCADA system specifications
