Job summary

JioStar is seeking an Assistant Manager- Revenue Assurance to manage end-to-end revenue accounting, including month-end closing, reconciliations, and GST compliance. You will coordinate with multiple teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and drive process improvements.

The role requires 8–10 years of finance experience, MBA/CA track in India, and strong SAP and MS Excel skills. This is an onsite, full-time position based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes; handling accruals, revenue adjustments and write-offs.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition standards and policy application.
• Ability to reconcile revenue with invoices and supporting records.
• Exposure to indirect tax compliance and GST processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities including accruals, revenue adjustments, and deferred revenue.
• Ensure accurate revenue accounting and reporting in line with policies.
• Reconcile revenue figures with invoice registers and operational data.
• Track agency incentives and coordinate with business and cost teams for payouts.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet schedules and revenue variance analyses.
• Maintain month-end schedules for deferred/unbilled revenue and country-wise revenue.
• Submit revenue data for audits and regulatory reviews as required.
• Collaborate with Credit, Tax, Audit, and Sales Operations to resolve issues.
• Identify process improvements and implement controls for revenue accounting.

Job Summary
About the team

Reporting To - Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including but not limited to accruals, combo deals, non-traditional sales revenue, internal buys, cost provisions, segment entries, deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and revenue write-offs/reversal entries.
• Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of revenue transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Perform reconciliation of revenue figures with invoice registers to ensure consistency between operational and accounting records.
• Agency Incentive - Tracking of agreements with customer, preparation of working, Invoices tracking, co-ordination with business team & Cost team for incentive payout
• Prepare and circulate monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheet schedules, and revenue variance analysis reports to management and stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain month-end schedules, including deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, client-wise and country-wise revenue reports, and BARC revenue workings.
• Consolidate and submit DPT-3 revenue-related data across all business verticals.
• Conduct monthly and annual GST revenue reconciliations and support statutory compliance requirements.
• Coordinate and support internal audits, statutory audits, GST audits, and other regulatory reviews by providing schedules, reconciliations, and relevant documentation.
• Liaise with Credit & Compliance, Taxation, Audit, Sales Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth revenue accounting processes and timely issue resolution.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement controls to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of revenue accounting and reporting activities.

• Good understanding of indirect tax compliance
