Job summary

Vikas Group is seeking a Design Project Manager in India to act as the main liaison between customer engineering teams and internal departments. The role involves coordinating design reviews, technical discussions, and project status meetings to ensure timely communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between customer engineering teams and internal departments.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical discussions, and project status meetings with customers.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure timely communication to internal teams.
• Track and close customer action items within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate new product development activities from RFQ to SOP.
• Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure design activities are completed as per customer schedules.
• Manage engineering changes and design modifications.
• Liaise with Design, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales teams.
• Facilitate smooth execution of development projects.
• Follow up on open issues and drive closure through internal coordination.
• Coordinate customer ECR/ECN requirements.
• Ensure implementation of design changes across all relevant functions.
• Maintain change history and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain project status reports.
• Coordinate submission of design documents, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Maintain customer development records and project documentation.
• Coordinate prototype build and testing schedules.
• Monitor validation activities and share test results with customers.
• Track corrective actions arising from testing and field feedback.
