Job summary

Talentup Placement Services is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Quality (M) for an automotive-manufacturing partner in Pune, MH. You will lead quality initiatives, drive root-cause analyses and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 across supplier and customer interfaces.

The role demands hands-on expertise in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC/MSA, GD&T and audits, with a focus on reducing defects and improving process quality. Collaboration with OEM/Tier-1/2 customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
• Hands-on expertise in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA.
• Experience in casting and machining processes in the automotive industry.
• Strong experience in customer complaint handling, 8D, 5-Why and Fishbone Analysis.
• Knowledge of GD&T, dimensional control and inspection techniques.
• Experience in audits (process, product, internal, supplier, customer and certification).
• Knowledge of supplier quality management and corrective action follow-up.
• Experience in reducing rejection, scrap, rework and PPM.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with OEM / Tier-1 / Tier-2 customers.
• Export OEM exposure will be an advantage.
