Job summary

Valeo is seeking an Assistant Manager of Quality in Chennai to lead QRQC containment, coordinate with APU and Site Managers, and drive continuous conformance across processes. The role involves updating quality tracking charts, conducting line audits, and ensuring adherence to 4M and PDCA practices.

You will act as a key customer quality representative, manage quality documents after process changes, and have authority to stop production when safety or quality risks are detected.

Responsibilities

• Initiate QRQC in the QIM database and validate containment robustness.
• Support APU Managers / Site Manager in analysis of issues assigned in QRQC activities.
• Update the APU quality tracking charts: Customer Returns Cost of Non Quality.
• Perform audits on the line to detect non-respect of the Standard and identify actions to comply with the Standard.
• Participate in the eradication of Customer issues and Non Quality issues.
• Ensure during APU QRQC meetings that rules are respected and Stop at first disagree / Stop at first no are applied.
• Revise the control plan after an issue.
• Verify 4M matrix respect with changes and ensure customer awareness and approval.
• Update the quality documents following process changes.
• Verify the continuous conformance of the process to generate product to specification (machine capability – yearly product audit).
• Has authority to stop a manufacturing/assembly line in any situation where Standards are not respected or safety/quality risk detected.
• Represent Customer within Valeo on Quality matters.
• In case of APU Quality Leader position, report to this position and not supersede authority.
• In charge of PD, CA and closure management for Internal Suppliers incidents.
