Job summary

Valeo in Pune is seeking a Calibration/Metrology Engineer to drive calibration programs, ensure measurement integrity and compliance with safety and quality standards across the plant. The role includes developing calibration systems, performing material/tests measurements and maintaining records with traceability.

The candidate will calibrate equipment, prepare test reports, and train site personnel while supporting continuous improvement and conformity to international standards.

Qualifications

• Responsible for applying safety standards and adhering to ISO/IATF 16949 and OHSAS18001 using QRQC where applicable.
• Develop and maintain plant-wide calibration systems per QS 9000 and other standards.
• Perform measurement and analysis of raw material tests and calibrate control/measurement equipment.
• Record-keeping of plant calibration tests and equipment with traceability.
• Prepare reports of test results, dimensional evaluations and calibrations.
• Carry out safety tests and inspections and report to relevant functions.

Responsibilities

• Advise personnel involved in measurement, calibration and testing.
• Participate in measurement workshops and training of plant personnel.
• Coordinate external calibration of services with traceability to national/international standards.
• Contribute to non-conformity resolution related to finished product manufacturing.
• Support validation of components/assemblies to drive continuous improvement.
