Job summary

Electrolab in Navi Mumbai is seeking a procurement professional with a BE in Electronics to manage end-to-end sourcing of PCB/PCBA components. You will analyze BOMs, evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and coordinate with R&D, Quality and Production to ensure timely material availability.

The role requires strong knowledge of PCB fabrication, SMT/THT processes, and lifecycle management. You will handle overseas sourcing, inbound costs, and supplier performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BE in Electronics Engineering is required.
• Strong procurement experience for PCB/PCBA and electronic components.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP procurement processes and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of PCB, PCBA/EMS and electronic components based on BOM, Gerber/data sheets and technical specifications.
• Understand PCB manufacturing process, including PCB fabrication, SMT, THT, assembly, testing and final PCBA requirements.
• Analyze BOM and identify critical, long-lead-time, single-source and obsolete components.
• Source and evaluate ICs, MCU/Controller, RAM, PMIC, LDO, capacitors, resistors, diodes, connectors, sensors, displays, relays, MOSFETs and other components.
• Evaluate part number, manufacturer, datasheet/specification, package, voltage/current rating, tolerance, temperature range, lifecycle and compatibility before proposing alternatives.
• Develop alternate components and suppliers without compromising quality.
• Manage Indian and import procurement for electronic components and PCB/PCBA.
• Identify and develop Indian suppliers, EMS partners, PCB manufacturers and distributors.
• Handle overseas sourcing, RFQ, supplier comparison, MOQ, lead time, payment terms.
• Compare local vs import landed cost and recommend best source.
• Coordinate with R&D/Engineering, Quality, Production and Stores for component approval and availability.
• Coordinate supplier samples, prototype procurement and validation before production orders.
• Negotiate price, MOQ, lead time and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor shortages, lead times, price fluctuations and lifecycle risks.
• Maintain supplier and component databases through ERP/MRP.
• Ensure timely procurement through MRP, BOM and production requirements.
• Track supplier OTD, rejection and quality issues.

• Work closely with R&D/Engineering, Quality, Production and Stores for component approval, qualification and material availability.
• Coordinate supplier samples, prototype/first-batch procurement and technical validation before regular production orders.
• Negotiate price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms and annual/volume pricing with suppliers.
• Monitor shortages, lead times, price fluctuations and electronic component lifecycle/obsolescence risks.
• Maintain approved supplier and component databases through ERP/MRP.
• Ensure timely procurement through MRP, BOM and production requirements.
• Track supplier OTD, rejection, quality issues and responsiveness.
