ROLE PURPOSE:

Bal Raksha Bharat (BRB) implements a range of projects focused on health and nutrition, education, social protection, livelihood, and social and behavioural change communication (SBCC). These projects aim to demonstrate the effectiveness of innovative interventions to improve childrens lives, supported by the development and deployment of robust MIS systems that enable thorough documentation, data analysis, reflection, and dissemination of the processes and learnings generated throughout the project period.

Bal Raksha Bharat (BRB) is seeking a highly organised, system‑and detail‑oriented Assistant Manager for the Programme Analytics Knowledge Management domain who thrives on data analytics visualisation, reporting to the Head - Impact Evidence, and collaborating closely with the Leadership Team, ME Team, project implementing teams, and thematic/ technical support teams.

The Assistant Manager - Programme Analytics Knowledge Management will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the overall Programme Knowledge Management and Evidence building to demonstrate impacts aligning with BRB s strategy commitments and commitments to our Supporters. This role requires strong design, coordination, communication, and analytical skills to facilitate programme system practice strengthening, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and learning among our teams, with a deeper understanding of data around various project themes. The role holder will lead in developing a comprehensive digital data management system and the enabling ground MIS system to ensure smooth and clean data collection, aggregation, analysis, and visualisation. The role holder will support the leadership and other teams to derive insights from the MIS to improve the project s programme s performance, and demonstrate achievements to the stakeholders.

The ideal candidate must have an aptitude for extensive data handling, research, storytelling, and capacity building.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Context: Development (Primary) /Humanitarian (Incidental)

Scope: This role s effort and delivery cover all development and humanitarian projects implemented across India, including all associated technical collaboration and reporting engagement, either committed, statutory or voluntary, which may even cover geographies and cities beyond the current programme implementation geography.

Role Dimensions: The Role Holder will actively collaborate with:

The Programme Leadership to understand the programme strategy delivery performance documentation, analysis, and reporting expectations.

National MEAL Leads, Thematic Leads the IT Team - to understand associated technical aspects, seek guidance in the KM system design integration in the project, and seek validation.

Implementation Unit Heads, Donor SPOCs, and Project Leads to understand the donor and internal commitments expectations.

Project Team in the field, including Project MIS role holders- to deliver the ME-related expectations regarding system practice, quality data, and evidence gathering for ease of access, authenticity, accuracy, reliability, etc.

Donor Representatives / External Stakeholders- to understand the external compliance requirements and expectations.

The Role Holder drives the agenda of comprehensive evidence building and harvesting through Project MIS setting up, practice and analysis to continuously evaluate the programme implementation strategy delivery performance.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

• A. Developing Systems and Promoting Evidence-Based Programme Management Practices
• Develop maintain the organisation s monitoring measurement framework indicator library.
• Develop and strengthen SOPs, Project MIS, Tools Templates for data collection and reporting systems to assist evidence-based programme decisions, their scalability sustainability.
• Build the capacity of project teams and reporting focal points through structured meetings and training to ensure reliable (complete, correct true) and quality programme evidence is generated and documented consistently.
• Promote practices of evidence generation, documentation and aggregation through supportive supervision, regular guidance and ongoing feedback.
• Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, data quality and integrity.
• B. Analytics, Visualisation and Knowledge Dissemination
• Oversee end-to-end data processes, including data collection, cleaning, storage, and integration from multiple sources to serve diverse purposes.
• Design and manage analytics workflows, applying statistical and visualisation techniques to generate insights.
• Develop and maintain interactive tools (dashboards, reports, factsheets) to communicate purposeful findings in a clear, easily accessible understandable way for diverse users.
• Synthesise data and insights into knowledge products such as factsheets, newsletters, reports, and specific inputs for the Communication Hub other teams.
• Maintain knowledge repositories and ensure accessibility of program evidence.
• C. Evidence Use Decision Support to Monitor Strengthen BRB Strategy
• Facilitate quarterly reviews, learning forums, and decision‑making sessions using evidence to assist BRB in tracking, monitoring, strengthening performance vis‑-vis strategy commitments.
• Partner with program and leadership teams to apply insights for planning and corrective actions.
• Facilitate periodic Board and key stakeholder reporting within the given TAT.
• Anchor the management of the Organisational Knowledge library, particularly products like project reports, impact stories, project designs, other evidence documents, etc., to assist scaling.
• Assist Programme teams with inputs for engaging with stakeholders with evidence and analysis.
• Promote a culture of evidence-based decision‑making within the BRB in every possible way.
• D. Organisational System Practice Strengthening
• Contribute to building a culture of system compliance practice across BRB, including but not limited to digitisation (while adhering to DPDP), strengthening ESG CSG adherence, and Inclusion, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
• Undertake any other additional responsibilities as and when assigned by the Line Manager / Leadership team for the best interest of the children and BRB.

QUALIFICATIONS

Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Information Science, Library Science, Developmental Studies, Population Studies, or a related field.

Degree/ at least a Diploma in data analytics or database management.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

At least 7 years of experience relevant to job responsibilities, after the relevant minimum qualification.

Strong applied data skills, advanced Excel (Power Query and VBA for automation), Power BI for interactive data visualisation. Basic Python scripting (using libraries like pandas and openpyxl/ pyexcel) for data processing and integration.

DESIRABLE

Command of data analytics using statistical software like R, STATA, SAS, SPSS, etc.

Certifications relevant to job deliverables.

Sound verbal and written communication skills in English.

Experienced in social development programs, including program designs, MEAL RBMS frameworks.

Experience in large data handling, processing, statistical analysis, interpretation, and analytical report generation.

Sound understanding of Data Privacy Principles Organisational Data Handling Protocol.
