Ideal candidates hold a BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with significant shipbuilding or ship repair experience, and a strong focus on quality assurance and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipbuilding or ship repair environments is preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings, OEM manuals and equipment layouts.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute installation and alignment of main engines, auxiliary machinery, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and other shipboard equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, equipment layouts, and OEM manuals for machinery installation.
• Coordinate with Design, Planning, Piping, Electrical, Quality, and Commissioning teams.
• Monitor production progress, manpower deployment, material availability, and subcontractor activities.
• Ensure quality compliance, conduct inspections, resolve technical issues, and support harbour and sea trials.
• Ensure adherence to shipyard safety procedures and maintain installation and testing documentation.

Responsible for execution and supervision of marine machinery installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning activities in the shipyard, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute installation and alignment of main engines, auxiliary machinery, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and other shipboard equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, equipment layouts, and OEM manuals for machinery installation.
